Your engine oil is like your car’s lifeblood—don’t let it run low this winter!

Here’s how to check it yourself in just a few minutes:
Step

Park on level ground and wait for the engine to cool.
Step

Open the bonnet and locate the dipstick (usually a brightly coloured handle).
Step

Pull it out, wipe it clean, then insert it fully again.
Step

Pull it out a second time to check the level. The oil should be between the “min” and “max” marks.
Step

If it’s low, top up with the correct oil type—just a little at a time!

Pro Tip: If the oil looks very dark or gritty, it’s time for an oil change.
